Depending on the state you live in, you can use Original Medicare Part B or certain Medicare Advantage plans to pay for services at Brightside Health. We’ll check and confirm your eligibility for you during sign-up. 

In general, Medicare covers mental health care including therapy and psychiatry. You can learn more about the details at medicare.gov.

All of our therapists have:

  • A master’s or doctorate degree in clinical psychology, clinical social work, or counseling from an accredited program
  • Experience delivering science-backed (also known as evidence-based) care for anxiety & depression

All of our psychiatric providers are:

  • Psychiatrists or psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs)
  • Exceptionally skilled at prescribing effective medication

Every provider in our network goes through a rigorous hiring and vetting process that you can learn more about here. They also follow the same high clinical standards as in-person providers.

Yes, 100% of your care is online. You can join appointments right from home, and take advantage of other benefits that help you and your provider stay connected:

  • Self-Guided Video Lessons: Watch video lessons to help improve your day-to-day life.

If you have medication as part of your treatment, it will be sent to your pharmacy of choice.

We make it easy for you to join your appointments online. 

  1. Choose your device: You can use a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Just make sure it has a video camera (you may hear it called a webcam). 
  2. Connect to the internet: Make sure your device is connected to the internet or Wi-Fi. 
  3. Join your appointment online: You have two options.

Typically, your insurance will start paying for your care after you hit your deductible. If your deductible is $240, you may need to pay $240 before your insurance starts paying.

After you reach your deductible, you’ll typically only pay a copay or coinsurance for your appointments. You can learn more about costs at medicare.gov.

After you reach your deductible, you’ll pay about $35 per appointment if you’re using Original Medicare Part B. It will be less than that if you’re using a Medicare Advantage plan.
