Brightside Health Earns The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval®

This nationally recognized accreditation reflects Brightside Health’s clinical excellence and reinforces its measurement-based approach to patient care

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – January 7, 2025 – Today, Brightside Health announced it has been accredited by The Joint Commission and earned their Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Health Care and Human Services. As the leader in standards development promoting quality and safety in health care organizations, The Joint Commission assessed and verified that Brightside Health consistently meets and exceeds industry best practice across its care delivery functions. This prestigious accreditation is in line with Brightside Health’s commitment to providing safe, high-quality patient care and further establishes its credibility as a trusted partner to payers, providers, and other healthcare entities at a critical time, as over 20% of the U.S. population lives with a mental illness.

The Joint Commission’s accreditation process evaluates compliance with standards informed by scientific research and expert consensus, including input from health care professionals, providers, subject matter experts, consumers, and government agencies (such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services). Brightside Health underwent a comprehensive review of its operations, policies, patient care delivery, and privacy and security practices to meet these rigorous standards. Following the application, The Joint Commission reviewed all documentation and conducted a detailed assessment to ensure compliance with Behavioral Health Care and Human Services accreditation requirements. After verifying organizational compliance, The Joint Commission made their decision and granted Brightside Health accreditation and their Gold Seal of Approval.
