Kelli Soto is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Doctoral Candidate with a diverse background in nursing including experience in emergency medicine, oncology, medical surgical, telemetry and inpatient mental health. She has over 9 years of experience in behavioral health. Kelli was first introduced to inpatient mental health care at a VA Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois where she quickly developed a passion for serving our veterans. It was at this point she began a personal mission to address the stigma associated with mental health and ensure that individuals become empowered through education and mindfulness while ensuring access to high quality mental health care. She has experience in serving clients with PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, personality disorders, substance use disorders, and dual diagnosis. Kelli observes DSM-5 criteria to optimize client diagnoses, monitoring symptoms, and managing medication administration. She provides comprehensive client education geared toward improving self-awareness, streamlining identification of medication options, effectiveness and potential adverse reactions, prognosis of mental health disorders, and treatment plan goals and outcomes. She embraces a holistic approach and strives to provide compassionate care that is tailored to the individual.
