Biography

Willow Smith is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience providing care to individuals, couples, and families. She is licensed in Virginia, Massachusetts, and Arizona, and brings a broad clinical background that includes residential treatment, holistic care settings, and work with children, adolescents, and adults. Willow has extensive experience supporting clients with anxiety, trauma and PTSD, self-esteem concerns, eating disorders, depression, substance use recovery, and family or relationship challenges.

Her approach is integrative and evidence-based, grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT. She is certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an image-replacement trauma treatment, and incorporates Family Systems Theory, The Gottman Method for couples, mindfulness practices, and creative arts techniques to support healing at both the individual and relational levels. Willow is committed to measurement-based care and regularly utilizes tools such as the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 to monitor progress and ensure treatment remains effective and goal-oriented.

Willow believes therapy is about more than symptom management—it is about meaningful personal growth. She strives to create a collaborative, empathetic, and safe therapeutic space where clients feel understood and empowered to move forward at their own pace. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time in nature, working out, baking, and playing with her dog, Blue.
