Biography

William Sweetwood is a highly skilled and dedicated mental health therapist. He has been working in the mental health treatment field, and addictions treatment field, for twenty-eight years with both adolescents and adults. Mr. Sweetwood has been an independently Licensed Professional Counselor for sixteen years and a Licensed and Certified Addictions Counselor for twenty-eight years. Using a client-centered approach, he develops a positive and effective rapport with customers of all ages and provides an open and caring space for customers to express their thoughts and feelings. Mr. Sweetwood utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to assist customers in addressing their treatment issues. His primary specialization areas are related to depression, anxiety and addiction treatment issues. He also has experience and training working with clients with Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, grief and loss issues, and trauma issues. In his leisure time, Mr. Sweetwood enjoys watching sports, especially football and baseball, enjoys classic rock music and attending classic rock music concerts with his wife, and enjoys spending time and doing activities with his four grandchildren.
