Thomas Lewis is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 30 years of experience supporting adolescents and adults across a wide range of mental health concerns. His background includes work in adolescent psychiatry, substance use treatment, hospital emergency departments, employee assistance programs, and private practice, giving him a broad and seasoned perspective. Tom specializes in areas such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, addiction, and men’s mental health. He earned his Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
Tom takes an integrative and flexible approach to therapy, tailoring his work to each client’s unique needs and personality. He commonly incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients challenge unhelpful thought patterns, build mindfulness, and develop more effective coping strategies. His style is easygoing, supportive, and collaborative, creating a comfortable space where clients can open up and work toward meaningful goals. He focuses on helping individuals identify barriers, take practical steps forward, and build lasting change. Outside of his clinical work, Tom enjoys walking, staying active, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.
