Tamara Royer is an intentional and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with nearly a decade of experience serving children, teens, adults and their families. Tamara takes a collaborative approach with her clients in exploring concerns and setting goals. She believes that honest conversations about diagnoses, the potential for growth, and the ongoing treatment process is important in the counseling relationship. Tamara appreciates how individuals are shaped by relationships both past and present and often explores these powerful components throughout the counseling experience. While Tamara has served clients ages 2 to 85, she is particularly skilled in serving those with trauma histories, foster/adoption backgrounds, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and family conflict/adjustment. She is a certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, which serves the child/adolescent population, and has worked in both Texas and Oklahoma in a number of clinical settings. Tamara considers counseling to be a courageous journey, and she is honored to walk alongside her clients in the process of finding hope. When she is away from the office, Tamara enjoys visiting coffee shops, playing board games with her family, identifying backyard birds, and reading a good book.
