Stephanie Speller-Henderson, MA, LCMHC, is a licensed clinical mental health counselor with nearly 20 years of experience supporting adolescents and adults through trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, racial identity concerns, and major life stressors. She brings a deeply integrative, trauma-focused approach to her work, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, psychodynamic and systems-based approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR-informed interventions. Stephanie has provided care across a wide range of settings—including emergency departments, community counseling centers, schools, churches, family treatment programs, and private practice—allowing her to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals.
Stephanie’s therapeutic style is relational, collaborative, and empowering. She believes the therapeutic relationship itself is a key driver of meaningful change and works closely with clients to ensure they are active participants in setting goals and guiding the direction of therapy. Her approach emphasizes personal responsibility, self-awareness, and practical skill-building within a safe and respectful space. Stephanie enjoys working with individuals and couples navigating the long-term effects of trauma, addiction, family-of-origin challenges, and interpersonal stress. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys exercise, line dancing, and crocheting—activities that help her stay grounded and balanced. She remains deeply committed to helping clients strengthen their emotional well-being and move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
