Sandy Davis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist with over a decade of experience supporting adolescents, adults, and older adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, and grief and loss. She has extensive experience working with military personnel, veterans, and their families, and is especially passionate about serving individuals from diverse backgrounds, including rural Appalachian communities. Sandy believes in meeting each person where they are and creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can openly share their thoughts and feelings.
Her therapeutic approach incorporates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Through these methods, Sandy helps clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, build motivation for change, and develop healthier coping strategies. She works collaboratively with clients to explore their immediate concerns in early sessions and to build a path toward healing, resilience, and improved well-being.
Sandy’s practice is shaped not only by her formal training but also by her lived experiences, which she brings into her work with empathy and authenticity. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family and her goldendoodle, Olive. She looks forward to hearing each client’s story and walking alongside them on their journey toward greater peace and happiness.
