Biography

Niketa Pechan, LCSW, is a Jamaican-American licensed clinical social worker dedicated to helping individuals heal from the inside out through a culturally grounded, mind-body approach. With over a decade of clinical experience, she integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions to support clients experiencing anxiety, trauma, stress, and life transitions. Her work blends modern neuroscience with ancestral and cultural wisdom, helping clients strengthen emotional regulation, increase self-awareness, and create lasting patterns of resilience and well-being.

Niketa’s therapeutic style is warm, holistic, and empowering. She believes that true healing happens when clients feel deeply seen, connected, and aligned with their sense of belonging. Drawing from her Jamaican roots, she values authenticity, community, and joy as integral parts of wellness. Niketa enjoys working with diverse populations—including women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ individuals—and is passionate about helping people move beyond survival into a grounded state of confidence and self-trust. Outside of her clinical work, she finds joy in yoga, writing, and traveling, and loves exploring how culture and wellness intersect across the Caribbean.
