Therapist
Melanie “M.J.” Sutton, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor with more than a decade of experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, grief, codependency, and major life transitions. She has worked across inpatient, outpatient, and social service settings, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the diverse challenges clients face. M.J. integrates evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—to help clients explore the patterns that shape their lives and implement meaningful, sustainable change. Her therapeutic style is individualized, empathic, and deeply curious about the “why” behind human behavior.
M.J. creates a warm, collaborative environment where clients feel encouraged to connect with their inner wisdom and lived experience. She believes that mindfulness is a powerful doorway into greater acceptance, presence, and joy, and she helps clients cultivate tools that support emotional clarity and resilience. M.J. enjoys working with adults from a wide range of identities and backgrounds, including trauma survivors, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those navigating chronic stress or significant life shifts. Outside of her clinical work, she loves reading, spending time in nature, and enjoying meaningful moments with family and friends.
