Biography

Mary is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters Degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work and over 15 years experience working with adolescents, young adults, and seniors in various mental health settings. Mary is fully Bilingual and can engage her clients in Spanish whenever they prefer. Mary operates from a STRENGTHS and HUMANISTIC perspective and treats clients dealing with issues ranging from chronic stress, self-esteem, and relationship issues, to Anxiety, OCD, Depression, Insomnia, and related mental and emotional reactions. Mary mainly employs neurologically informed CBT, ACT, and supportive therapy to teach new coping skills and transform negative thought patterns while reinforcing positive feelings and behaviors about themselves. Mary’s style of therapy focuses on the therapeutic alliance and helping clients integrate and reframe the narrative and history of their lives through a more compassionate lens. Mary has become Certified in TeleMental Health and enjoys connecting with her clients in the comfort of their homes, with their pets, and at their convenience. Mary is also a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. Mary is also comfortable adding family members and significant others into the therapy process should her clients wish to involve them at any time.
