Markisha Nance-Lee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience providing therapy to adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and major life transitions. She holds a Master of Arts in Social Work with a clinical concentration from the University of Chicago and has worked across a wide range of settings, including hospitals, emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, residential programs, and community mental health centers. Her extensive background allows her to bring both depth and versatility to her clinical work.
Her approach to therapy is patient-centered, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Markisha frequently utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including a structured 8-week CBT model she has developed, along with Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). She helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical skills to manage symptoms and improve daily functioning. She also incorporates tools like symptom tracking and structured exercises to support progress and insight.
