Lynn Young is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience supporting adults through challenges such as anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, stress, and parenting. She earned her Master of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, and has worked across a variety of settings including child welfare, university systems, and private practice. Her extensive background allows her to bring both depth and flexibility to her work with clients.
Lynn’s therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual. She focuses on building a strong therapeutic alliance where clients feel safe, seen, and supported. Using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, she helps clients develop practical coping strategies, set meaningful goals, and build skills to navigate life’s challenges. Her work emphasizes self-awareness, boundary-setting, and strengthening relationships, while also encouraging clients to embrace all parts of themselves.
She believes that healing happens in an environment grounded in empathy, authenticity, and nonjudgment. Lynn works closely with clients to understand their stories, values, and aspirations, and to create personalized strategies that promote resilience, self-compassion, and overall well-being. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys boating and reading, and values maintaining balance and connection in her own life.
