"Laurence Conkerton is a seasoned Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 30 years of experience in mental health counseling. He holds an MA in Psychological Counseling from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, obtained in 1992. Laurence is licensed in both Louisiana and Texas, offering comprehensive individual, couples, family, and group therapy to clients with diverse backgrounds. His specialties include a wide range of issues such as addiction, ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, and trauma.

Laurence believes that true external change begins with internal transformation, emphasizing the control that inner mental processes have over our outer experiences. His dedication to helping clients achieve their goals and find balance is evident in his holistic approach, which includes both telehealth sessions and in-person visits. Transitioning from a career in hospital administration, Laurence has developed and led innovative outpatient programs and community mental health centers. Outside of his professional life, he finds joy in helping others, spending time with his dogs, gardening, and relaxing in his pool."
