Biography

Jennifer Brau is a licensed clinical social worker and substance abuse counselor in Wisconsin. She received her undergraduate degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and her graduate degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Her coursework focused on direct practice with children and families and clinical practice for mental wellness and substance use. Her professional experience includes work in child welfare, treatment foster care, parenting concerns, drug and alcohol abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, and other adjustment or life transition concerns. Jennifer uses an eclectic approach choosing concepts from different therapeutic modalities that are best suited for each individual person and concern. She believes that building strong therapeutic relationships is the foundation to creating a safe space to do the work of therapy. When Jennifer is not working, she enjoys time with her family on their small hobby farm. If she finds an additional free moment, she will bury herself in a good book.
