Biography

Jennifer Avalos is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience supporting adolescents and adults navigating complex mental health needs. She works with individuals facing challenges such as ADHD, autism, trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use, with a particular focus on neurodivergent clients, veterans, and those who have felt misunderstood within traditional systems. Jennifer earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and has experience across a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, schools, and community-based care.

Jennifer takes a neuroaffirming, trauma-informed approach, emphasizing collaboration, direct communication, and compassion. She integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with elements of motivational interviewing and solution-focused techniques, to help clients build emotional regulation, develop sustainable coping strategies, and strengthen their sense of identity. Her style is grounded and supportive, creating a space where clients can show up authentically without pressure to mask or change who they are. She focuses on helping individuals gain clarity, build autonomy, and create meaningful change on their own terms. Outside of her clinical work, Jennifer enjoys building LEGO, playing video games, hiking, and reading.
