Biography

Heidi Latimer, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor with more than 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She supports individuals facing concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD). Heidi has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, hospitals, emergency rooms, and in-home services, which has given her a broad perspective on how mental health challenges affect people across different environments and stages of life.

Her primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which she adapts to fit each client’s age, needs, and goals. Heidi focuses on helping clients understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and works with them to identify ways to interrupt unhelpful cycles and build healthier coping strategies. She also incorporates elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to support emotional regulation and processing of difficult experiences.

Heidi believes that taking the first step toward improving mental health is one of the most important decisions a person can make. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family and cats, and playing video games.
