Biography

Ellen is a highly trained, experienced, professional, and compassionate therapist. She has been a counselor and therapist to individuals for over 15 years and has worked with a variety of individuals from every walk of life. Ellen’s individualized, specialized counseling expertise includes working with anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality. Her experience also includes years as a professor in a counseling program and she is well-acquainted with the latest theories and techniques including the evidence- and research-based cognitive behavioral treatment modalities. Ellen is also well-trained in multicultural counseling and practices through a social justice lens which allows her to focus on the advocacy role inherent in being a multicultural counselor and therapist. Ellen takes her roles and responsibilities as a counselor very seriously and believes in the power of the relationship between therapist and client as the foundation for positive and lasting goal attainment and change. Ellen knows, from personal experience, how important finding a healthy balance in all of our roles and responsibilities is in feeling good and living our best life.
