Biography

David Francis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over four decades of experience serving individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. He has provided care in a wide range of settings—community social work, healthcare leadership, private practice, and behavioral health—and brings a wealth of knowledge and cultural sensitivity to his work with diverse populations, including Anglo, African American, Hispanic, and Indigenous communities. David specializes in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief, substance use, parenting challenges, and chronic health conditions, including Alzheimer’s-related family dynamics.

David’s therapeutic approach is relational, validating, and deeply client-centered. He blends evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Motivational Interviewing to help clients identify barriers, regulate emotions, and develop new insights and coping tools. He is especially passionate about creating space where clients feel truly heard and empowered to shape new outcomes in their lives. Outside of work, he enjoys gardening, reading, building projects, cycling, and time with family.
