Biography

"Chris Troutt is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate adoption, parenting, relationship challenges, and stress. She specializes in trauma, attachment disorders, and prenatal exposure to alcohol and drugs, integrating her expertise with a deep understanding of systems theory and Christian faith.

Chris holds a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) practitioner through the Texas Christian University Institute of Child Development. She is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). As the CEO of the Papillion Center for FASD, Chris has dedicated her career to supporting children from hard places and providing parents with effective tools to foster healing and connection.

Chris believes behavior is a form of communication and that understanding its root causes leads to lasting change. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and attachment-based approaches to help individuals gain insight, build resilience, and develop effective coping strategies.

Beyond her work, Chris enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and growing flowers. Her passion for advocacy, education, and mental health continues to inspire her work in helping clients find hope and healing."
