Biography

April M. Monroe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S) with nearly two decades of experience in the social work field. Originally from Crowley, Louisiana, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience into her work, creating a relatable and authentic therapeutic environment. April works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns, and she is especially passionate about helping clients reconnect with themselves, rediscover their goals, and move toward becoming their best selves.

Her therapeutic approach is collaborative, supportive, and creative, often thinking beyond traditional methods to tailor care to each individual. April integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients process emotions, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build emotional stability. She partners closely with clients, offering both guidance and encouragement, while also gently challenging them to grow and prioritize their own well-being.

April believes that personal growth begins with putting yourself first and investing in your own healing. She creates a nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and supported as they explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, enjoying good food, and connecting with others through networking and community.
