Biography

"April King is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in both medical and mental health care, bringing over two years of experience in supporting adolescents and adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, and personality-related challenges. She earned her Master of Social Work from Middle Tennessee State University and frequently integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches to support emotional resilience, symptom relief, and long-term healing.

April’s approach is collaborative, purposeful, and grounded in compassion. She creates a supportive space where clients can embrace their strengths, navigate life’s challenges, and cultivate hope. With clinical experience across inpatient hospitals, private clinics, homeless shelters, and community mental health settings, April is especially passionate about working with individuals navigating chronic illness, grief, sleep issues, and trauma. Outside of therapy, she enjoys woodworking, caring for senior rescue dogs, traveling, and spending time with her family."
