Therapist
Ammarritta Simpson, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with more than five years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life stressors. She specializes in working with veterans, first responders, and individuals healing from PTSD, moral injury, and complex trauma. Ammarritta integrates Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients process painful experiences, reframe self-limiting beliefs, and regain a sense of control and peace.
Her therapeutic style is warm, direct, and collaborative—grounded in empathy, authenticity, and empowerment. Ammarritta believes that healing begins when individuals feel safe enough to explore their stories and supported enough to take the next step forward. With experience in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, she brings a deep understanding of resilience and recovery to every session. Outside of work, she enjoys walking her dog, collecting sea glass at the beach, practicing photography, and spending time with family and friends.
