Amanda is a licensed psychotherapist in New York with 10 years of professional experience. She is dedicated to help her clients with stress and anxiety, LGBTQ+ related issues, relationship issues, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. She believes in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. She will tailor your dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. She is here to support you in that process.
My approach to therapy is warm, laid-back, collaborative, and strengths-based. I create an affirming, nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being open and honest. Drawing from CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness, I tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals. Together, we will build practical coping skills, deepen self-understanding, and use your strengths to create meaningful, lasting change—with compassion and humor along the way.
My greatest strength is my ability to create a space where clients feel safe, accepted, and comfortable being themselves. I bring warmth, compassion, authenticity, and humor into sessions while also gently challenging clients when needed.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and grilling, trying new recipes, discovering great coffee, gardening, and working on home and outdoor projects. I also value traveling and do it as much as I can.
