"Amanda Berbaum Aussem, LCSW, is an experienced clinical social worker with 20 years of practice helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, chronic pain, grief, and self-esteem challenges. She specializes in working with adults, particularly women, veterans, individuals with chronic illness, and those facing major life transitions.
Amanda primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She also incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), particularly for clients adjusting to life-altering conditions. Amanda is dedicated to providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time in nature with her dog, making art, and exploring different cultures through travel and photography. She has worked in diverse settings, including hospitals, outpatient programs, crisis response units, and senior living communities."
Outside of work I love spending time with my dogs (chihuahuas) and making art, currently working on diamond dots which helps me relax and be creative.
