Biography

"Vernisha Chambers is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 10 years of healthcare experience and specialized expertise in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related conditions. She earned her MSN with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner concentration from the University of South Alabama and began her advanced practice career in outpatient mental health and correctional healthcare settings, where she provided psychiatric evaluations and medication management to diverse and underserved populations. Vernisha also delivers care through telehealth, helping expand access to compassionate mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults.

Vernisha’s approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply patient-centered, grounded in the belief that mental health care should be accessible, individualized, and free of judgment. She takes time to listen carefully, educate patients about their options, and develop personalized treatment plans that align with each person’s goals and lifestyle. Passionate about early intervention and empowering individuals to take an active role in their care, she is committed to helping patients build meaningful, sustainable progress over time. Outside of her clinical work, Vernisha enjoys spending time with family, cheering on her son at baseball games, shopping, cooking, listening to music, and creating relatable mental health content that helps make care more approachable within her community."
