Biography

Faisal Matar, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in psychiatric care as both a registered nurse and advanced practice provider. He has worked across inpatient hospitals, crisis stabilization units, behavioral health urgent care, detox and dual-diagnosis programs, and outpatient psychiatry. Faisal provides care to children, adolescents, and adults, with clinical interests that include mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, ADHD, psychotic disorders, and medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders.

His approach is practical, structured, and evidence-based, with a strong emphasis on thorough assessment, safety, and clear communication. Faisal prioritizes thoughtful medication management and collaborative treatment planning, ensuring patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and the rationale behind clinical decisions. He values measurable progress, accountability, and culturally responsive care, with a focus on long-term stability rather than short-term symptom relief alone.

Faisal provides both in-person and telehealth services and remains committed to maintaining high clinical standards and ongoing professional development. Outside of work, he enjoys sports, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with his family. He believes resilience can be strengthened with the right support and that balance, wellness, and strong relationships are foundational to lasting mental health.
