"Destin Thomas, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who brings a compassionate and collaborative approach to psychiatric care. He specializes in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, borderline personality disorder, and self-harming behaviors across children, adolescents, and adults. Destin completed his Master of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner concentration from the University of South Alabama.

Destin believes in a biopsychosocial model of care that values each client as a whole person, considering their personal experiences, family systems, and environmental influences. He prioritizes therapeutic engagement and takes a thoughtful, collaborative approach to medication management—focusing on minimal effective dosing and reducing unnecessary medications when possible.

With experience across a range of settings including ICUs, emergency departments, inpatient psychiatry, ACTT teams, and community mental health, Destin offers a wide lens of clinical expertise. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, concerts, The X-Files, and spending time with his dogs. His goal is always to understand what matters most to his clients and partner with them toward healing."
