SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Brightside Health, a telehealth platform that delivers life-saving mental healthcare to individuals with mild-to-severe clinical depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders, announced today the appointment of Julia Bernstein as Chief Operations Officer. Bernstein will play an integral role in maintaining the operational rigor of Brightside Health’s business as the company expands its member base and enters new markets to deliver critical mental health care. She will also serve as a strategic partner to the executive team, charged with refining and implementing a scalable operational infrastructure for the business that encompasses people, processes, and technology.

“Julia is an experienced digital health leader who knows healthcare systems inside and out, and we are excited to welcome her as we continue to deliver high-quality mental health care to everyone who needs it,” said Brad Kittredge, co-founder and CEO of Brightside Health. “Julia’s alignment with our values and her track record of successfully scaling businesses focused on technology-enabled care delivery make her a perfect fit for Brightside Health.”

Bernstein has deep knowledge of behavioral and digital health, bringing over 15 years’ experience from executive-level roles at companies focused on changing the healthcare system. She joins the company from Thirty Madison, where she served as Head of Operations and Strategy and oversaw 250+ people across customer experience, medical operations, and pharmacy. Prior to Thirty Madison, she held leadership roles in the behavioral health space at Tempest (acquired by Monument), Beacon Health Options (acquired by Elevance), and Ginger (now Headspace Health). Bernstein is also an active investor and advisor and sits on the Board of PharmaCCX.

“I am thrilled to join Brightside Health and work closely with a team that is passionate about bringing telemental health care to patients across the full clinical spectrum,” said Bernstein. “I am inspired by the company’s continued investment in scaling care for more severe mental health needs, and I look forward to utilizing my operations expertise as Brightside Health enters new markets and supports even more people at every stage of their mental health journey.”

Bernstein’s appointment follows that of Chris Murray as Chief Financial Officer and comes at a time of immense growth for the company. For more information about Brightside Health, visit www.brightside.com.
